The Comox Valley Seniors Village and Casa Loma communities celebrated Earth Day on April 22 in a very green way - they planted a tree.

To honour the generations ahead, members of the retirement facility and staff planted a rare pink-flowering Japanese dogwood tree in their greenspace area on the north end of their property.

It’s the first time the facility planted a tree in honour of earth day, and members of the community helped with shovelling soil as others gathered outdoors to celebrate the day.
