Twenty one organizations in the Comox Valley are benefitting from $570,000-plus in grant funding for non-profits from the B.C. government.

The Chimo Gymnastics Club, the Performing Arts BC Festivals Society, the Comox Valley Raiders youth football club, and the Courtenay and District Historical Society are some of the groups that will receive money.

“Playing a team sport or watching a live performance are great ways for families to enjoy themselves and build a sense of community,” Courtenay-Comox MLA Ronna-Rae Leonard said in a news release. “I’m glad to see continued support for these local organizations who do so much to keep us happy and healthy, and look forward to attending their games and performances with everyone soon.”
