On Friday evening (Aug. 28), Courtenay-Alberni Green Party candidate Glenn Sollitt will be joined by federal leader Elizabeth May at the Best Western Westerly in downtown Courtenay (1590 Cliffe Ave.) for a free public event.
Doors to the conference room open at 6:30 p.m. with appetizers and a cash bar available. Come to hear what May has to say about working for political change. At 7 p.m. best-selling author Des Kennedy will introduce May with a “satirical salute.”
This gathering will highlight the Green Party’s dedication to winning seats in the October election. Opportunities to donate, sign up for a campaign sign, and/or volunteer will be made available.
