The Comox Valley RCMP advise that Cameron Neil turned himself in on Friday evening. Neil was held in police custody overnight and had a Judicial Justice of the Peace hearing Saturday morning.
Neil was being sought in connection with a home invasion on Feb. 4, where a suspect had attended a residence in Black Creek, assaulted the homeowner, threatened him, and forced him to open a gun locker. Three handguns, three rifles, as well as two firearm barrels and ammunition were stolen. The suspect, identified as Neil, then fled on foot.
