Tuesday’s snowfall brought with it slippery roads and bad driving conditions.

According to Monika Terragni, media relations with the Comox Valley RCMP, there were 12 reported motor vehicle collisions in the Valley on Tuesday. This included a jackknifed semi that closed the southbound lanes of Highway 19 in the afternoon.

Fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.

Even though the snow is melting, Terragni advises drivers to continue to slow down and give themselves extra time to get where they’re going.

“When it snows, go slow,” she said.
