One person was taken to hospital following a boat fire Sunday around 5:30 p.m. in Comox Harbour.
The cause of the fire is unknown, as is the condition of the single occupant. The boat — between 25 and 30 feet in length — was destroyed.
The Comox Fire Department used its boat to extinguish the blaze.
“It was densely packed with a lot of materials,” Capt. Corey Brooks said. “Lots of fuel onboard, propane cylinders — the typical thing kept on boats…Sometimes you don’t find out until they start to show themselves in the fire.”
