Police seeking man wanted for shooting in Courtenay

The Comox Valley RCMP are looking for Patrick Hanlon in connection with the shooting that occurred in Courtenay on May 25, 2018.

Hanlon has been charged with several offences including: Assault with a Weapon and Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm.

Two witnesses told reporters that shots were fired last Friday night following an altercation between residents of Panorama Crescent around 11:30 p.m.

While no one was injured in the incident, a silver car was struck by at least one of the bullets. Police had the 400 block of Panorama Crescent taped off while they investigated the scene on Saturday.

Hanlon is described as:

• Caucasian

• Brown hair

• Blue eyes

• 55 years old

• 5’7” tall

• 137 pounds

• YinYang tattoo on his right upper arm

Hanlon has appeared in Courtenay provincial court on more than 20 charges, most of which were theft-related.
