Popular children's park in Courtenay closing for repairs

The Rotary Skypark universally accessible playground in Courtenay will be closed for repairs Aug. 27.

The Rotary Skypark universally accessible playground in Courtenay will be closed for repairs Aug. 27 to allow crews to reinstall a large spinning rope tree.

The spinning tree was damaged earlier this month and had to be removed.

For safety reasons, the Skypark will be closed on Tuesday from 8 a.m. until approximately 6 p.m., or until the repairs are complete.

The City regrets the inconvenience caused by the temporary closure of this popular playground.
