Even though the calendar says spring, it still feels a lot like winter on Mount Washington, particularly with the resort's deepest snowpack on record.
Friday morning, the mountain announced their record-breaking snowfall of 1,840 cm. The previous record dates back to 1998-99 in which the resort had 1,835 cm.
The alpine snow base has 663 cm, with 8 cm of new snow which fell overnight.
There are 52 of 65 alpine trails open, and 13 of 15 nordic trails open.
The resort is extending their season by two weekends — April 15 to 17 and April 22 to 25.
Nordic Centre and the Ozone Snowtubing Park will also be open on the two extended weekends.
