The Comox Valley Water System is now under Stage 1 water restrictions, which come into effect every year on May 1.
Under Stage 1, lawn and garden sprinkling is permitted between the hours of 5 -8 a.m. and 7-10 p.m., on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday for even-numbered addresses and Wednesday, Friday and Sunday for odd-numbered addresses.
“Stage 1 allows for lawn sprinkling within designated times and restrictions will become more stringent as water availability decreases,” said Mike Herschmiller, Manager of Water Services for the Comox Valley Regional District. “The schedule is designed so that the shift to Stage 2 when needed is relatively straightforward for our residents.”
