The Comox Valley RCMP investigation into the theft of a vehicle taken from Starbucks on Cliffe Ave. in Courtenay on Feb. 10 has taken a tragic turn.
The vehicle, a blue 2013 Mazda CX5, was left running outside the coffee shop, but the key fob was with the owner, when the vehicle was stolen on Wednesday.
The vehicle was located Thursday morning down a bank off Forbidden Plateau Road with a deceased male inside.
The Comox Valley RCMP Traffic Services and Coroner are currently on scene and the matter is currently under investigation.
