Annemarie Fischer and Keith McKay’s tradition of playing Set for Life every Christmas paid off to the tune of $675,000.
“We always buy Set for Life tickets for Christmas,” smiled McKay. “We won a free ticket on Christmas Eve and that turned into the winner!”
The couple plans on buying a new car and truck with their winnings and beyond that, they just want to take time to let their big win sink in.
For now, they’re enjoying being the big news around town.
“Union Bay is a small town so news travels quickly,” laughed Fischer. “Everyone is congratulating us because they’re super happy for us!”
The winning Set for Life ticket was purchased at Union Bay Market in Union Bay.
Set for Life is the Scratch & Win game that offers players the chance to win a top prize of $1,000 a week for 25 years, or a one-time lump sum payment. Fischer and McKay chose the latter.
