The 15th anniversary of Everybody Deserves a Smile kicked off Thursday evening at Ecole Puntledge Park School in Courtenay.

The evening featured creator and teacher Chantal Stefan and showcased a special performance by Comox Valley singer/songwriter Helen Austin and her son Charlie performing an original song - Everybody is Somebody.
