Adrian Julian Wilson has received a sentence of 407 days, followed by
two years of probation as a result of him breaching a recognizance.
The Comox Valley RCMP issued two high-risk public notifications in less than six months, both warning people in the Comox Valley that Wilson
had been released from custody.
The most recent notification was published April 18, as Wilson was being released from custody and believed to be returning to
the Comox Valley.
The notification was one of the tools the Comox Valley RCMP used to alert the community about a person believed to be a high risk to
reoffend.
Plainclothes officers were assigned to ensure Wilson abided by the court-imposed conditions associated with his release until
he arrived in our area. The combined efforts of all involved
ensured that Wilson was arrested later that same day as he breached his court-imposed recognizance.
"It is of the utmost importance to continue to do all we can to ensure public safety in our community," comments Sgt. Paul West of the Comox
Valley RCMP.
The Comox Valley RCMP will continue to work with probation and correction services to monitor Wilson once he has served
his sentence and should he decide to return to our community.
