It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and friend.
After 85 years of living her best life, Adelaide passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on August 14, 2022.
She is survived by her daughter Yvone, son Rick, son-in-law Tim and granddaughter Brittney.
Adelaide was born on December, 13, 1936 in Gandra, Portugal.
She moved to Canada in 1959 to begin a new life with her late husband Armando.
After running several successful businesses together they retired in B.C.
Adelaide was an avid gardener, baker, gourmet cook and loved caring for others.
Her home and picturesque garden was always a warm and welcoming place for her family and friends to gather. With a most generous heart, she offered love, laughter and culinary delights to all.
She passed on many life lessons, most important being the significance of family.
Touted "World's Best Grandma", she loved to laugh and was always game for an adventure with her granddaughter, who will miss her friendship immeasurably. She was much loved by all who knew her, and she will be enormously missed.

Living our lives without you, is the hardest part of all.
You did so many things for us, your heart was kind and true,
And when we needed someone, we could always count on you.
The special years will not return, when we were all together,
But with the love within our hearts, you will walk with us forever.
