August 9, 1927 – May 15, 2015

Anne Marriott of Black Creek passed away peacefully on May 15 at Casa Loma Seniors Village surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her two sons, Alan and Robert and their wives Carol-Anne and Janet, and by her two daughters, Catherine and Janet, as well as by her grandchildren, Davis, Kirsten, Ashley, Laura and Thomas. Anne was born and brought up in Britain and emigrated to Montreal in 1955 with her husband where she lived a busy and full life – raising her children, working for Polydor Records and then the Bronfman Foundation, and earning her University degree. When she retired 21 years ago, Anne moved out to Black Creek. She was very content with her life here and never regretted her move. She did what she had always done – made her house a graceful and lovely place and worked hard creating a beautiful garden. She never stopped her love of learning and kept her mind active taking courses at the Senior College. She did volunteer work: at the Black Creek Hall, for therapeutic riding, taking her dog into homes to be petted and worked for over ten years at the Comox Valley Nursing Centre. Anne will be sorely missed.

The funeral service for Anne is on Thursday May 21 at St Peter’s Church in Comox.
