ANTOINETTE (PEGGY)
CROUCHER
February 14, 1916 - April 29, 2007
A wonderful Mother, “Granny” and true friend
God saw you getting tired
The mountain was too steep
He wrapped His arms around you
And whispered go to sleep.
You gave your love to everyone
But God knew you needed rest
His garden must be beautiful
He only takes the best
Peggy passed away peacefully on April 29, 2007, a fighter til the end. She is survived by her daughters: Sandy Fairfield (Jim) of Courtenay, BC, Sue Barker (Bruce) of Furry Creek, BC, grandsons: Jonn and Austen Leeden (Karen) of Campbell River and North Vancouver, Andrew and Christopher Barker (Janna) of Vancouver, plus many friends and relatives.
Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Silcox, Dr. Crowe, and all the caring and compassionate staff at St. Joseph’s (Tammy, Anna, Erin, Jen, Hyacynth, Jan, Lori, Harvey and Nadine and those I missed) you treated my Mum with love and kindness and helped us through this tough time.
Peggy moved to Casa Loma four years ago, a move that gave her a new lease on life and new friends who became important to her (especially Maurice and Dorothy).
A Celebration of Life will take place on May 7, 2007 at 11 am in Casa Loma. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Mountainaire Avian Rescue Society, Peggy was passionate about nature and her daughters Sandy’s work with the society. Visits MARS’ website for further details: www.wingtips.org.
