Surrounded by his wife and children, Bogdan Zbyszek Kajak, 62, of Cumberland, B.C., passed away peacefully at the Comox Valley Hospice on May 13th.
Predeceased by his father, Stanislaw Kajak, Bogdan is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Colleen Callaghan, his children Dawid (Marie), Jeffrey (Sherina), Jordan (Rozalijia), Ashley (Travis), Tory and Jamie; his beautiful granddaughters Alexandra, Kayleigh and Madelyn; his mother, Wiktoria, and his sisters, Teresa Cieslak, and Wiesia Kajak .
Born in Strzegom, Poland on May 21, 1955, Bogdan emigrated to Canada in 1982.
Bogdan was a miner, golfer, and adventurer who loved to cook and lived life to the fullest. He enriched the lives of all those who knew him, adored his family, his work, and his friends. We all miss him very much.
Bogdan asked us not to be sad, but to love every day of our lives.
We would like to thank our wonderful, supportive family, Dr. Bakshi, Home and Community Care, and the amazing staff at the Comox Valley Hospice for their loving care and compassion during a difficult time.
Bogdan's family invites his friends to join them for a Celebration of his Life on June 2nd, 1:00 pm, at Comox Golf Club.
