BRIAN CONROY
64, passed away suddenly on Thursday July 12th, 2012 at his home in Comox BC.
A lifelong resident of British Columbia, he was born on May 28, 1948 to Patrick and Muriel Conroy in Victoria BC.
Brian earned a Business degree from the University of Victoria after graduating from Mt Douglas High School in 1966. Brian went on to a successful career in commercial real estate appraisal and prior to his retirement in 2011 owned and operated the Courtenay Appraisal Agency of Cunningham & Rivard.
Brian was an avid sailor and could often be found on his beloved boat Planetes sailing in the waters around Comox and Desolation Sound. Brian was actively involved with the Comox Hospice Society, the Comox Valley Land Trust and the Comox Elder College.
Brian was predeceased by his wife Cathy and is survived by his daughter Janine, son Steven (Jennifer) and his grandson Nolan. Brian also leaves behind sisters Elaine and Henrietta.
The family greeted friends and relatives at the Westerly Hotel on Cliff Avenue in Courtenay on July 20th from 2 - 5pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Comox Hospice Society or Comox Land Trust.
