Brian Francis Pickup
April 15, 1946 – June 18, 2016
After a 5 month battle with infection, Brian’s organs could take no more. He passed away peacefully on his terms, just as he had lived his life. Brian leaves behind his loving partner of 10 years, Donna Gibson, his beloved sister, Laura Bloom (Rick), and brother Donnie (Annette). His three cherished nieces, Nicole Reynolds (Dave), Natalie Bloom, Felicia Greaves (Stefanie) as well as nephew David Pickup and five precious great nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents, Frank and Fran Pickup; and baby brother Billy. Brian had a love for old movies and travel. He and Donna saw many new roads over the last 10 years. From the Northern parts of the Yukon, a lot of B.C and Alberta, to all the Western States. Trying different routes on their back and forth trips to the beach of Mazatlan, Mexico; their second home and the family there that loved Brian as a brother.
Brian was known for his generous heart with family and friends. He loved telling a good story or joke. Brian will be remembered by all those he touched. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
