Carol passed away peacefully on August 1st in Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria. She was born on June 23, 1946 at Comox Hospital. She was educated at Tsolume School, graduated from Courtenay High and later moved to Victoria. Carol is survived by her husband, Fred, 3 children, Brent (Nicole), Jo-Ann (Larry) and Kyle (Nicki): 5 grandchildren, Kelsey (Alan), Alyssa, Mercedes, Brayden and Liam and great grandson, Hunter: 4 brothers George (Jo-Ann), Ted, Wilson (Liz) and Victor (Sharon), sister-in-laws Helen Gurney and Vicki (Dennis) Saunders, as well as many nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her parents Harry and Beatrice Gurney and her brothers Bert (Flo), Jack and Bill. Celebration-of-life was held on Tuesday August 9th at McCall’s Sequoia Gardens, Victoria.
