Caroline Helen Hirschfeld passed away in Comox, British Columbia on February 14th, 2004 at the age of 97 years. She was predeceased by her husband Trueman G. Hirschfeld, her sisters; Ann and Alice, and her brothers; Stubbert and Valentine. Caroline is survived and will be sadly missed by her daughter; Honor (Harry) McGrath of Comox, Her sons; Arthur (Doreen) Hirschfeld of Garson, Ontario, Kevin (Ruth) Hirschfeld of Garson, Ontario, and Trueman (Beverly) Hirschfeld of North Vancouver, many Grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, Her brother Victor Sweet and sisters; Zylpha Buettner, Ardellice Bardswich and Prudence Leslie. Caroline was a longtime member of the Knox Presbyterian Church of Halifax and was active with the d’Esterre Center. In lieu of flowers donations in Caroline’s name may be made to Glacier View Lodge, 2450 Back Road, Courtenay, B.C. V9N 9G8 or the charity of your choice. A Service of Remembrance will take place on Wednesday, February 18th at 3pm from COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 1101 RYAN ROAD, COURTENAY.
