NICHOLLS, Colin Leonard
1926 – 2011
Colin was born in Edmonton, Alberta on May 4, 1926. In 1935 the family moved to his parent’s birthplace of Somerset England. At age 18 Colin joined the Canadian Army stationed in London. For disembarkment he came to Vancouver, BC and after a visit to Victoria Colin decided to stay. He worked at Hudson Bay Co. for 18 years, leaving to spend 6 and a half years with Schenley’s Distilleries, then moving to the Comox Valley to spend 18 years with Labatt’s Breweries, retiring in 1990.
Colin was predeceased by his younger brother Roy of Somerset, England. He leaves his wife of 62 years Mary Dryburgh, 3 sons Gary, Keith (Brenda), Mark (Eva), 3 grandsons Steven, Curtis and Kyle, his older brother Stanley and sister in law Doreen, both of Somerset England.
