It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Delwyn Ray Tait. Born in Melville SK, he passed peacefully from natural causes on January 23, 2018 in his 95th year. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 69 years, Gladys "Becky"; his twin children son Don (Laura); daughter Donna Rowe (Brian); 5 grandchildren, Shelley, Lisa, Janice, Graeme and Devin; and 8 great grandchildren, Parker, Georgia, Reagan, Hayden, Carson, Delaney, Hope and Logan; sister Melba in Waterloo, ON; and sister-in-law Gladys "Button".

He was predeceased by his parents; brothers James and Lorne, and twin sister Divona Christiansen.

Del was proud to have served his country in WW2. He was a Legion member from 1945 and a Shriner from 1967.

He spent the majority of years in sales and the last 20 years of his career in partnership with his brother James.

Del was a wonderful husband, great father and a true gentleman always putting others needs before his own.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Piercy's-Mt. Washington Funeral Home (440 England Ave. in Courtenay) officiated by Rev. Ray Brandon.
