September 29, 1925 - April 19, 2013
Dick died peacefully at home on Friday, April 19th, after a long, full, and good life.
Born in Saskatoon with an explorer’s spirit, Dick’s many adventures included service in both the Army and Air Force. A great storyteller, his true calling was as a teacher, which took him to Maple Ridge, Alkali Lake, Malawi, Botswana, and many schools in the Comox Valley.
Dick will be deeply missed by his wife Lynda, brother Alex, sister Mary, children Rick, Susan, Bruce, Gerry, Wayne, Bill, Cathy, Jim, Alex, and Tony, their spouses, his grand kids, nieces, nephews, all of his extended family, and many friends.
Deep appreciation to Dr. David Bowler, and the nurses and home care providers for their dedication and care.
A remembrance and Celebration of Dick’s Llife will be held at the United Church in Comox at 11am on Saturday, April 27th. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the SPCA. Dick (Dmytro) Pesklevits
