With sadness we announce the passing of Donald Herbert McNabb.
Don was born in Saskatoon Saskatchewan,the eldest of three children to Leonard and Ruth McNabb. His brother Jim and sister Leona passed before him.
Don moved a lot in his long life. He enlisted in the Air Force at 18, retiring after 20 years in before joining the RCMP in 1973.
Don loved the Comox Valley and decided to retire here in 1992. He kept busy here, joining the 888 Komox RCAFA Wing, of which he is past president.
Don leaves behind his daughters, Deborah Moore (Terry) and Donna Henderson (Rick), grandchildren Michelle Henderson (Terry), Warren Henderson and great granddaughters, Chloe and Maia Bishop.
He was much loved and will be missed.
We would like to extend our deepest thanks to the nursing staff at the Courtenay Hospital who took such excellent care of our Dad.
A Poppy Service will be held at the 888 Komox wing at 2 pm on 23 June, 2019.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Don's favourite charity, The Salvation Army.
