In Loving Memory ~

November 1943 ~ February 2024.

Don passed away peacefully from Parkinsons complications with his wife by his side. He left us early in the morning, as would be his way to be out fishing to catch the big one on his favorite lake, Shawnigan.

Don was born in Victoria and lived all his early years there. In his early adult years he moved around a bit finally moving back to Victoria to pursue his career as a paramedic. Eventually Don and his family moved to Comox, where he resided until his passing.

Don is survived by his wife, Moira, son Trevor (Brandy), daughter Janine (Geoffrey) and two grandsons, Preston and Kaiden. Sister Sharon Cross (Bob) and brother David MacDonald.

Predeceased by parents Llewellyn and Catherine MacDonald and brothers Bill and Bob MacDonald.

Don was an avid fisherman, snow skier and waterskier. He loved camping with his family and just being outdoors. He was well known for his quirky sense of humor. He enjoyed his trucks and cars, especially his Austin Healey. He was proud to have restored a ski boat to use on his beloved lake, Shawnigan. Many good times were had at the "cabin" with family and friends.

Although he will be greatly missed we are happy that he is no longer struggling with the devastation of Parkinson disease .

There will be a celebration at the family home April 6, 2024 from 1-5. Please drop in and join the family for a drink and to share memories.

Flowers gratefully declined. Donations, if you so wish may be made to Parkinson Society of B.C.
