It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doreen Evans of Comox, BC, on Friday, June 7th, 2019, with her daughter Stacey at her side.
Doreen was born October 30th, 1940, in Cold Lake, Manitoba.
Doreen is predeceased by her husband Raymond (2012). Doreen is survived by her son Dan (Chetwynd, BC) and her daughter Stacey (Comox, BC). She was the proud Grandmother of Corey (Red Deer, Alberta) and Jason (Cold Lake, Alberta) and she was the Great Grandmother to Owen James (Cold Lake, Alberta).
Doreen spent many years travelling with her family to various Air Force bases including CFB Baden-Soellingen, Germany. During her travels, she earned her High School Equivalency (1981), and went on to earn her
Nursing Assistant Certificate (1982). Doreen worked at St. Joseph's General Hospital for many years, finally
retiring doing a job she loved: Activities Aide in the Extended Care Unit. Doreen was an excellent cook, avid crafter, she loved dogs and loved to read. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed.
