January 27, 1926 - July 4, 2018
Dorothy was born on January 27, 1926 in Sardis, Chilliwack, BC. She fell asleep in death on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in Comox. She was 92 years old.

Dorothy is survived by three of her four children: daughter, Lesli (Reino Kesk) living in South Korea; daughter, Patricia and son, Ronald, both living in Calgary; also her brother Ron Hoppe (Donna) lives in Langley; her oldest son, Raymond Jr., passed away in death in September, 1999. She also leaves behind grandchildren: Kylie, Tim, Hannah, Amber, Stephanie and Tony, as well as great grandchildren.

Dorothy was married for 68 years to her dear husband Raymond, who predeceased her on October 14, 2011. Mom and Dad lived in Vernon, BC for many years. Then they moved to Canmore, Alberta and then on to Whitney, Ontario. Finally in the 1980's they moved to Comox, BC. She was know as a hardworking mother and excellent cook. She had often worked as a skilled chef at various military and logging camps. Her main and most important interest was sharing in the ministry, teaching others the wonderful truths and comfort found in the Bible. She served full time in this activity for over 35 years.

Dorothy will also be remembered for her sense of humor and quick wit right up until her death. She loved nature, animals and had a passionate love of flowers. Even while still living at Casa Loma, many would glance up and see a beautiful array of colour on her balcony. Dorothy was a colourful flower who will be truly missed by many.

The family would like to thank the staff at Casa Loma and Oceanview for their excellent care of Dorothy.

A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2 p.m.
