Colvin, Elsie Marion
Elsie Marion Colvin, age 93, went home to be with the Lord on September 14, 2006 in Vancouver General Hospital after a brief illness.
Elsie was a very active member of First Baptist Church until failing health prevented her attendance. She thoroughly enjoyed her role on the committee overseeing the construction of the Beulah Gardens Senior Complex on East 5th. She loved her northeast corner apartment and her many friends there.
Elsie was predeceased by her twin brother Robert and her sister Birdie. She will be sadly missed by her many friends and relatives including nephews: Jim (Pat) Colvin, Robert (June) Watt, Jim (Ursula) Watt; nieces JoAnne (Murray) McLeod, Margaret Benedictson and extended family Tracey, Mike and Wyatt Croonen, Terri, Kieran, Cole, Devin, and Kiera Finney, Alex and Tricia McLeod, Jessica Snowdon, and Damaris and Jaime Watt.
A Memorial Service for Elsie is scheduled for 1:00PM on Friday, September 29 at 3350 East 5th Avenue with Pastor Kutch Imayoshi officiating. A tea will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hobbit House in care of First Baptist Church, 969 Burrard Street, Vancouver, BC, V6Z 1Z1.
