Cooper - Gary Thomas of Courtenay, passed away suddenly on Monday, March 18th, 2002 at age 53. Predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Olga Cooper, Gary is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving wife Candice; daughters: Amanda (Brad) Cooper and Courtanie Cooper and their mother Linda Cooper, as well as his extended family and many friends throughout B.C. He was a member of Elk’s Lodge for 25 years and was well known as a talented musician, having played at countless functions throughout the Valley. Gary enjoyed homelife and spending time with his family most of all. Many will long remember his quick wit and sense of humor. A private family service will be held from the Chapel of COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME and CREMATION SERVICES, 1101 RYAN ROAD. A public Celebration of Gary’s life will take place on Friday, March 22nd at the Elk’s Home, 231 - 6th Street at 3:30 pm.
