PHILLIPS - George Franklin, of Comox, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, August 10, 2008 surrounded by his family. Predeceased by his parents Larry and Rita; he is survived and will be dearly missed by his wife of over 50 years, Heather; son Tim (Lynette); daughter Trudy (Stewart) Robertson; Donald (Dennie); 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and his brother Murray (Barbara).
George moved to the Comox Valley in 1975. He served 24 years with the RCMP, 16 years as coroner and 25 years as marriage commissioner. In his leisure, George enjoyed painting with acrylics. A gathering of family and friends in celebration of his life will take place from 888 Wing, Comox on Wednesday, August 20th at 1:00pm.
