LEBLANC George Raphael “Jerry” of Courtenay, passed away peacefully away at home on Saturday, October 20th, 2007.

He is survived and will be dearly missed by his loving family; wife Gail; son Shawn of Victoria; daughters Terri (Don) Dawson and Tammy LeBlanc, both of Victoria; grandchildren Mark and Lauren LeBlanc and Amber, Ian and Brody Mitchell; his brothers Eddie of Belleville, Ontario, Kevan (May) of Trenton, Ontario and brother-in-law Gary (Kathy) Lee of Windsor, Ontario; sister Judy (John) Spenard of Calgary; sister-in-law Carolyn King of London, Ontario as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by sons Jimmy in 1970, Tony in 1971, his parents Edward & Mary LeBlanc and father and mother-in-law Philip and Thelma Lee. Jerry served for 25 years with the Canadian Forces at CFB London, CFB Edmonton, CFS Dana and CFB Chilliwack. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 275, Calgary and worked for 10 years as a Commissionaire at CFB Chilliwack, CFB Esquimalt and border crossings. In his leisure, Jerry enjoyed gardening and cooking. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a dedicated soldier.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 24th at 1:00pm from COMOX VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, CREMATION AND RECEPTION CENTRE, 1101 Ryan Road, Courtenay. Cremation will follow. Should friends wish, donations in Jerry’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
