It is with deep sadness that the family of Gerry McLaughlin announces his passing at home on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. Gerry was born in Greenock, Scotland in April of 1966. He lived in Gourock, Scotland before emigrating to Canada in 2005 with Gayle. They made their way to Comox in 2009. Gerry loved Comox Valley so much he barely went on vacation. He used to say “Why would you leave here? It’s the most beautiful place on earth.” Gerry was predeceased by his parents Duncan and Nancy; sister May; father-in-law Davie; and sister-in-law Avon. Gerry will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Gayle; brothers Bill (Mhairi), Neil, Robert (Rhonda), and Duncan (Sue); as well as many much loved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Piercy’s-Mt.Washington Funeral Home (440 England Ave. Courtenay).
