It is with deep sadness that the family of Gloria Henschel announces her passing.
She was born and raised in Calgary, AB and spent her school years there as well. She worked as a secretary in the oil industry for 30 years after attending S.A.I.T where she met Dennis. They were married in June 1970 and enjoyed many travel adventures together, the most memorable being the Mediterranean cruise.
Most of their married life was spent in Calgary until retiring and moving to Comox in 2003. Although Calgary held a special place in her heart, she loved the beauty of Vancouver Island.
Gloria was predeceased by her mother, Victoria, in 1992; father, Peter Pulak, in 2008, and her father-in-law, Emil, in 2014.
Gloria will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 47 years, Dennis and his family; her mother-in-law Emily and two sisters-in-law Gail and Joy and their families.
A Time of Remembrance was held on Saturday, March 3, 2018. Burial will take place in Calgary at a later date.
