The family of Hana Triska are sad to announce her passing on March 8, 2024 in Nanaimo Seniors Village long term care. She was the loving mother of George Triska (Judy walker), Joyce Furlane (Grant Furlane). She will be dearly missed by her brother Josef Valter (Venda Valterova) neice and nephew Martina Konirova, Ondra Valter and their children in Prague, Czech Republic. Her grandchildren Michelle Triska, Julie Triska, Kristen Furlane and Jordan Furlane (Julia Kendall) Great grandchildren Brandon Benedict and Mylah Short.
She was predeceased by her husband Vaclav Triska, her father Josef Valter, her mother Marie Valter.
Hana was born in Prague, Czech Republic. She married her husband Vaclav in 1956 then settled in canada in 1968. North Vancouver became home until 2003. Her artistic talents , especially sewing, was evident in her gifts of clothing and beautiful quilts for her family. Hana and Vaclav In Retirement moved to Courtney on Vancouver island where she enjoyed the quieter life, nature, gardening and her family.
