Irene passed away peacefully at the age of 83 years on Thursday, November 17th, 2005 at St. Joseph’s Hospital Extended Care. Irene will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by Dutchy, her devoted husband of 53 years, by her loving children, daughter Val Harnden (Don), son Chris Swinamer, grandchildren Aaron, Matt, Dale, Darlene (Jackson), and Jess, also by her great-grandson Tyler. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 26th, 2005 at Bay Community Church, 1105 Pritchard Rd., Comox. Donations made in Irene’s name to Bay Community Church would be appreciated. Arrangements have been entrusted to Piercy’s/Mt. Washington Funeral Home and Crematorium.
