James (Jim) Anthony Watson of Courtenay passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family following a brief battle with cancer. Jim was born in Shaunavon, SK and grew up in Victoria, BC before moving to Edmonton, AB in 1975. In 1989, Jim and his wife Karey Watson (Service) moved to the Comox Valley to raise their three boys. Jim is survived by his wife of 39 years, Karey, his sons Chris (Kate), Cody (Sheena), and Chad, and grandchildren Carter, Natalie, Morgan, and William. He is also survived by his mother Delores Shier, father-in-law Bill Service, sister Barb Klatt (Larry), and brother Scott. Jim was predeceased by his father Alvin and brother Bruce.
Jim worked in the moving industry for over 40 years and will be remembered for his hard work and dedication to his profession.
The family would like to thank Dr. Tanja Daws for the remarkable compassion and care she provided.
