Aug 27, 1988 - Feb 22, 2018
Never thought I would ever have to say one of my four sons has passed away, a parent's worst nightmare.

Unexpectedly our second son, Jeremy Micheal Nelson, born August 27, 1988 at 6:05 p.m. in Nanaimo at NRGH, passed away suddenly on Feb. 22, 2018.

Jeremy leaves behind his dad Richard, mom Laura (Darren), brothers Jonathon (Allyn), Jeffrey (Ashley) and Joshua (Stacey), who love and miss their brother and wish you were still here with all of us who love you.

Jeremy also leaves behind his son Noah, 4, and daughter Kendra, 3, and the mother of his children, Erica, girlfriend Audrey, a nephew, cousins, aunts, uncles, and Grandpa Wayne (Tracey) and Grandma Gaylia, and many friends, all who will greatly miss him.

Jeremy was a genuine person, humble, kind, caring, and a loving, devoted father to his children Noah and Kendra.Throughout his life, Jeremy did things his own unique way, and often excelled at what he loved doing. He had a great love for music - whether he was playing his guitars making music, listening to it at a concert or music festival, Jer was in his element.

Jeremy never got his Driver's Licence because he walked, biked, skate-boarded or long-boarded everywhere. BMX biking was another of his passions - he competed as a teen going to Las Vegas coming in 5th at the Nationals. While he was BMX trick-riding he made videos of himself doing tricks on his bike, then uploaded them to YouTube, leaving all of us the gift of being able to watch him in action, performing one of the things he loved so much. We can watch these video's day or night, and bring back a happy memory of Jer.

No one will ever forget Jer's mustache, tattoos and piercings, or his wonderful, carefree laugh and beautiful smile. Jer was also proficient in skateboarding and he had a wonderful imagination, which showed in the artwork he created in oil paintings and sketches.

Jeremy grew up in Cumberland and graduated from Mark Isfeld in 2006. After graduation Jeremy went to work with his brothers at White Spot. In July 2017 he went to work with friends Gilbert and Joe at the Courtenay Casino.

Jeremy, you will be missed by all who knew and loved you, and we know you are up in Heaven with your Grandma Barb, Grandpa Leo, Great-Grandma Hannah and Uncle Cliff, watching over us until we meet again.

Mom's Final words: Rest in peace my son, my heart is broken knowing I will never be able to visit and talk with you here again. But I will always feel the presence and warmth of your beautiful spirit. I will love you, Jeremy, forever and always, your Mama xoxoxoxo

Friends and family, we invite you to join us, Jeremy's family, on Saturday May 12, 2018 at 3 pm at the Cumberland Cultural Centre located at 2674 Dunsmuir Ave. Cumberland BC, to celebrate Jeremy's life.

At a later date, the family will be laying Jeremy to rest with his Grandma and Great-Grandma at the Mountain View Cemetery located in Duncan BC.

In lieu of flowers, Jeremy's family requests memorial donations be made to the Cumberland BMX track, on behalf of Jeremy, so that others can continue to enjoy BMX riding as he did.

Forever loved, forever missed, forever in our hearts .....
