April 28, 1940 - June 25, 2018
Born 28 April 1940 to Adolf and Anna (nee Grzanna) Schoock in Berlin Germany, Joachim immigrated to Canada in April 1961 with his wife Helga Hannelore (nee Abraham) Schoock and son Ralph to reside in BC.
He worked 42 years as a Heavy Duty Mechanic for BC Hydro. Dad enjoyed international travel and had been all over the world. He loved to work with his hands and throughout his lifetime, built two family homes and restored various types of vehicles, reserving a great passion for Mercedes Benz. Dad also maintained a great appreciation for the art of photography and a glass of good brandy. He will be missed by many. Thanks Dad/Opa. Prost!
Joachim Schoock passed away in Courtenay BC on June 25th, 2018 at the age of 78. As he requested, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favourite charity in his name.
