Beadnell, John Hugh Dundas
1913 - 2004
John Hugh Dundas Beadnell born October 7, 1913 passed away on March 8, 2004 at age 90 at Arranglen Gardens, Qualicum with daughter Dianne by his side. He was born in Victoria and came back to Comox as a newborn to the family home on the Back Road. “Jack” was predeceased by his loving wife “Bunny”, infant son John, his parents Harry and Winnifred (Thwaites) Beadnell and his siblings Frieda, Peggy, Charlie, Molly and Eileen. He is survived by daughters Dianne Jourdain and Joan (Norm) Pratt both of Comox, also five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
After serving in the Navy he followed his father as a Fisheries Inspector where he worked tirelessly until his retirement. Dad loved to fly fish and his many friends were always so very special to him. Since January 2000 Dad was a resident at Arranglen Gardens Nursing Home. He loved each and every staff member who until the end gave him such wonderful care. Joan and I give our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Cardwell, the nurses and support staff for being there and so devoted to their professions and their patients. All of you make the world a better place. By Dad’s request there will be no service or flowers. Anyone wishing to make a donation to a favorite charity would be wonderful.
