JOHNSON, John Leslie

of Qualicum B.C.
Passed away in Comox BC after a short illness. Survived by his loving companion, Betty, his brothers Jonas and Ray, and his children; Laurie, Lois, Lloyd and Les Jr, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Predeceased by wife Leah, mother of his children, second wife Jean, and brothers; Stanley, Conrad and Marvin.
Les was proud of his Icelandic heritage. He was a gentle giant, hard worker, a kind soul, a good father and role model. Les was a good brother, husband and friend, and will be missed by all who knew him.
A Celebration of Life will take place in Qualicum for friends and family in place of a service. The family would like to thank Dr. Dawes, Janet and the nursing staff at St. Joseph’s Hospital for their kind care and attention.
