WALLIN, Jonas
1908 - 2012
Jonas passed away on June 28, 2012 at Glacierview Lodge. He was born in Sweden, moved to Canada in 1930, and married his dear wife Agnes Matson in 1944. He is survived by his three children: Linda, Paul (Rosalie), and Maggie (Peter), grandson Vann, sister Anna, and many nieces and nephews.
Jonas worked as an electrician in the Vancouver area for 35 years. He was very proud of his Swedish roots and served as president of the Swedish Canadian Club. He was also a member of First Lutheran Church, a lover and player of the violin, and a true gentleman. Jonas was a compassionate man who truly loved life; he made the most of every day and always had words of hope for others.
Jonas will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. Even though he lived to be 103, he has left us much too soon.

A small funeral will be held in Vancouver for immediate family. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Comox Valley Hospice Society.
