June 8th 1930 ~ July 16, 2013

Its with great sorrow we announce the passing of our wonderful mother June, after a short illness mom was born in Colhurst Alberta and moved to Vancouver Island in 1943, when she was thirteen. She continued her schooling at Tsolum School where her grandfather Tony Sprout was a janitor for years. Mom was an avid gardener, flowers and vegetables. She was known for her beautiful different colours of roses, people loved to pass by her home just to smell the lovely rosebuds.

Mom loved to cook and bake, whenever you visited you always left with some delicious creation she had made. Her house always smelled so homey with something in the oven or a pot of soup on the stove. Mom loved to knit and made many doilies for family and friends over the years. Mom had many friends who will truly miss her, we would like to say a special thank-you to her two good pals Chris and Greta who were always so good to Mom.

With great sadness and who will ever miss her in our lives she leaves behind her five children sons Gordon (Cathy) Crisp Victora, Keith Crisp Cumberland, daughters Sharon (Bruce) Strachan Black Creek, Cathy (Bill) Woodley Cuberland and Susan (Mark) Courtenay. Her loving twelve grandchildren and seventeen great grandchildren.

There will be no service as a request by Mom
