Feb 7, 1926 - Jun 1, 2018
It is with great sadness that it is announced Ken Parranto passed away quietly at Yucalta Lodge with friends at his side June 1, 2018.

Ken Parranto was born February 7, 1926 in Edmonton, Alberta and raised in Thorhild, Alberta. He is predeceased by his parents Violet and Leda Parranto and wives Rose and Carol. He is survived by his sister Verna Barns, nephews Howard, and James Clifford Barns, niece Connie Fernie and good friends Cecilia and Harold Sloat, Karen and Bill Winnig, and Judy and Gary Stromne.

Ken was a professional driver starting as a long haul transporter and completing his last 40 years as a logging truck driver.

In retirement his love for driving continued through traveling and camping with his wife Carol. He was an entertainer who enjoyed telling stories and playing his fiddle around the campfire with his friends and family. His biggest fan was Carol who would listen to his violin playing with great enjoyment.

A special thank you to the staff at Yucalta Lodge who made Ken's last days comfortable with empathetic care.

There will be no memorial service by his request.
