WELLINGS, Kenneth Robert
December 16, 1923 – August 15, 2012
It is with deep sadness we announce his peaceful passing in St. Joseph’s Hospital on August 15, 2012. Predeceased by his wife, Phyllis Duncan Wellings (nee Elrick) August 2007.Dad was born on the family farm in Ruthilda, Sask.
He leaves to mourn his two daughters, Karen Wong (Jerry) of Surrey, BC, Linda Proctor (Brian) of Comox, BC, son, Larry Wellings (Peggy) of Surrey, BC, 4 grandchildren, Kiri Wong, Shawna Proctor, Ben Proctor (Angela), Gary Proctor (Stephanie), 5 great grandchildren, Nathan and Nicole Ward, Lora Proctor, Kaylie and Wesley Proctor, sisters, Ruby Crawford, Nora Benolkin, and brothers, Gord Wellings and Ron Wellings, all back east and many, many nephews and nieces.
Dad was a very proud Canadian and a 47 year member of the Royal Canadian Legion and a veteran of WWII.
Our family wishes to thank all the ambulance drivers, nurses and doctors and “We Care” for their care and compassion which allowed him to pass with dignity and “His Way”.
