Kevin Barry McAreavy born December 14, 1950 in Vancouver, B. C. Died April 22, 2006 in Comox, B. C.
Kevin passed away peacefully in his sleep after a courageous battle with cancer.
Kevin spent his last months speaking to young people about the consequences of their actions. He felt rewarded to have had the opportunity to share his life story in hopes to prevent others from making poor life-style choices.
Friends and family gathered with Kevin on Easter Sunday for a “Celebration of Life”. Thanks to all of you who came from near and far to make this a memorable day for Kevin.
Kevin will be remembered by many for his sense of humor, and his passion for life.
Kevin was predeceased by his parents Kathleen and Pat McAreavy. He is survived by his loving wife Jeanne, brother Terry (Alice), sisters Moira (Merv), Sheila (Charlie) and many nieces and nephews and other family members, including his best buddy “Buddy” and Molly the cat.
