Oct 26, 1929 - May 1, 2018
From the arms of his beloved daughter, into the arms of his Redeemer and Lord, Leo passed peacefully to receive his victory and crown. Born in Scottown (Compton), Quebec to Edmund and Marie-Rose Larouche.

He was predeceased by his parents, all of his many siblings and his son Leon Tanguay (1970-1999).

He leaves behind his daughter Michelle Deics (Drew) and grandsons Colby, Bryce and Quinn, and an innumerable company of friends, for all who knew him, loved him dearly.

Leo moved to B.C. at a young age and worked for many years in the forestry industry as a hook tender. He loved the mountains and lakes and spent many days getting lost and found foraging for mushrooms, and, yes, he took the location for those spots with him.

Leo was baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission of sins and received the gift of the Holy Ghost. He was a dedicated servant of God, a prayer warrior, and a well-respected member of his Comox Valley United Pentecostal Church for 32 years. He served as a deacon and usher and provider of peppermints and licorice sticks to the Sunday school kids for generations.

Michelle would like to thank the nursing staff at North Island Hospital Comox Valley, who tenderly cared for him and the many visitors who brightened his days. Special thanks to Betty Anne Chorenzey and Dave Stewart for their loving support and help.

I cannot express my gratitude enough to Jodi and Darren Perry for all of the love and support they have given me along with a place to stay, a vehicle to get around, and words of comfort and encouragement.

A Memorial Service will take place on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, 1:00 pm, at Comox Valley United Pentecostal Church, 1814 Fitzgerald Ave., Courtenay.
