Lillian passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital on Friday, November 18th, 2005 at the age of 91 years. She was predeceased by her husband Les in 1997, daughter Janet in 1994 and great-granddaughter Dawn Shaw in 1992. Lil is survived by her brother John (Helen) Bracken and their family, nephew Larry (Dianne) Bracken, grandchildren John Shaw, Debra (Doug) Brough, Ron (Carol) Shaw and many great-grandchildren. Lil will also be deeply missed by her posse of close friends: Becky, Gaylene, Jennifer, Odete and Peggy, and by her beloved cats Ginger, Pepe and Daisy. Donations made as an expression of sympathy in Lillian’s name to the Comox Valley S.P.C.A. would be appreciated. There will be a time of refreshments and sharing to remember Lillian Hayward on Friday, November 25th at 1:00 pm in the Tea Room at Piercy’s - Mt. Washington Funeral Home, 440 England Avenue, Courtenay.
