The family of Linda Beatrice DiCastri are sad to announce her passing on Nov. 29, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Comox.
Lin was predeceased by her husband Bill DiCastri and is survived by her sons, Steve (Denise) of Langley, Mike (Kim) of Langley, and Joe (Michelle) of Courtenay, daughter Terri (Paul) of Comox; grandchildren, Adam, Rob (Maiko), Amanda (Kevin), Ryan (Meeka), Chelsi (Chris), Jason (Deborah), Luke (Meghan), Jesse, Logan and Levi; great-grandchildren, Nathan, Grady, Leah, Hutsen, Ryker, Cohen, and Lennox.
Lin met on Mondays with a sewing group of her friends. They made cloth bags and filled them with shampoo, etc. for the women’s shelters at Christmas. She was on council for 15 years as an elect councillor and served with a couple of mayors. She volunteered for the Comox Valley Winter Games. In her leisure time, she knitted baby sweaters for the Comox Valley Babies. Lin enjoyed baking cookies and muffins for friends and dropped them off at City Hall for them to enjoy. Lin loved cooking big meals for her family and friends. Lin was a kind, warm hearted and giving person with a great sense of humour.
